SEND Tutor

Are you a qualified and passionate SEND Tutor looking for a rewarding, flexible role where you can make a real difference?

We are looking for an experienced SEND Tutor to support a learner on a 1:1 basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver personalised, meaningful learning that helps a young person develop the skills and confidence to achieve recognised accreditation.

The Role

• Deliver set hours of face-to-face tuition per week.
• Receive an additional 1 hour of paid planning and administration time each week.
• Plan engaging, learner-centred sessions tailored to the learner’s individual needs and learning style.
• Gather, assess and submit evidence in line with ASDAN requirements.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records.
• Work collaboratively with the wider professional team and family where appropriate.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the learner’s SEND needs while promoting confidence, independence and engagement.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• An experienced Qualified Teacher
• Passionate about supporting learners with additional needs.
• Patient, creative and flexible in their approach.
• Confident planning personalised learning programmes.
• Committed to helping learners achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND & SEMH
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
