SEND is seeking a specialist Learning Support 1:1 Assistant with previous experience in supporting young learners with PMLD with highly complex needs to join a small team of staff who are supporting 1:1.
This is a unique opportunity with an immediate start, and the position is part-time, working on Wednesdays and Friday, so would be suitable for someone wanting to make a difference to this young learner. The standard hours of work are 9:00am until 3pm, Wednesdays & Friday’s after May 24, this would go to Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays. There is also opportunities to work overtime
In this role, you will assist a Teacher who will lead the lessons and follow a specialised curriculum.
In addition to being a competent SEND Teaching Assistant, you must have confidence in helping this young learner who has Dysphagia and possess a nurturing and caring demeanor.
The ideal candidate should have experience in Complex SEND, be confident in providing care, willing to assist with personal care, and have a friendly and approachable personality. Ideally, you will hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one and able to provide two supporting references.
