SEND Maths Teacher

Location: Central London 

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 dependent on experience

Permanent – immediate start

Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

We are currently seeking a motivated SEND Maths Teacher to join a independent SEND School which is a warm and welcoming school for students aged 7 to 16 who experience a range of needs, including autism spectrum conditions, associated behaviors, moderate learning difficulties, or specific learning difficulties.

Responsibilities:

  • Have a secure understanding of safeguarding children and equality.
  • Plan and deliver lessons at different levels to accommodate the individual needs of students.
  • Create a nurturing and challenging learning environment that encourages student development.
  • Embrace a mix of SEND needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere that aligns with the nurturing teaching approach

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a focus on Mathematics, or QTLS, or FE Qualification
  • Proven experience in teaching students with SEND, including autism spectrum conditions and associated behaviors, moderate learning difficulties, or specific learning difficulties.
  • Ability to plan and deliver lessons at various levels, addressing the unique needs of each student.
  • A warm and nurturing teaching approach, coupled with the ability to challenge and inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and parents.
