Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities, a deep understanding of various learning styles, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with other members of the teaching team, support staff, and external professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, supported, and encouraged to participate.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies for success.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices and developments in the field of SEN education, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of various special educational needs and disabilities, as well as strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
