About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to lead a small specialist class of five primary-aged pupils within a supportive setting.
The class supports children with a range of additional needs, including Down syndrome and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Pupils are working broadly at mainstream curriculum levels, with appropriate differentiation and targeted support in place.
This role offers flexibility and can be either full-time (8:00am–4:00pm) or part-time (12:30pm–3:30pm), depending on the successful candidate’s availability and preference.

Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the primary national curriculum
- Adapting teaching strategies to meet a a range of learning needs
- Creating a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitoring progress and implementing personalised learning targets
- Working closely with support staff to ensure high-quality provision
- Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Promoting independence, communication, and social development
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching primary-aged pupils
- Experience working with children with SEND, particularly Down syndrome and/or MLD (desirable)
- Strong understanding of differentiation and adaptive teaching
- Patient, positive, and solution-focused approach
- Committed to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners
