Job Description:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching staff to support students with special educational needs and disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Assisting with classroom activities, ensuring that students have access to the curriculum.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress, and reporting to teachers and the SENCO.
  • Offering emotional and behavioral support to help students overcome challenges.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, parents, and caregivers to create a comprehensive support network for students.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with children.
