Job Description:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching staff to support students with special educational needs and disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assisting with classroom activities, ensuring that students have access to the curriculum.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress, and reporting to teachers and the SENCO.
- Offering emotional and behavioral support to help students overcome challenges.
- Collaborating with other professionals, parents, and caregivers to create a comprehensive support network for students.
Qualifications:
- A passion for working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Relevant experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
- A patient and empathetic approach to working with children.
