We are seeking an exceptional MYP Science Teacher with Coordinating experience to join a well-established international school in Bahrain. This is a rare opportunity for a passionate science educator who is ready to take on a strategic and impactful role within the IB Middle Years Programme.
The Role:
As the MYP Science Teacher / Coordinator, you will play a dual role in the classroom and curriculum leadership. You will deliver engaging, inquiry-driven science lessons while also overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of the MYP science framework. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys both teaching and leading pedagogical progress across a department.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach MYP Science to students aged 11–16 in line with IB standards

Lead curriculum development, planning, and assessment across the science department

Support and mentor teaching colleagues to ensure consistency and quality of delivery

Promote interdisciplinary learning and the IB Learner Profile

Contribute to whole-school initiatives and continuous improvement
Essential Criteria:

Experience teaching IB MYP Science (or a strong understanding of the framework)

Previous coordination or leadership experience within a science or MYP team

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, B.Ed., etc.)

Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

A genuine commitment to holistic, international education
