Experienced teacher seeking a break from the traditional classroom?

Bespoke Tutoring Service for Students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities: The SST
At the Specialist SEND Group, we are dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of services for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and complex needs.

Our Specialist SEND Tutoring (SST) Service
Led by our experienced Tutor Lead, Jordan Jackson, our Specialist SEND Tutoring (SST) service offers a bespoke and inclusive educational pathway for hard-to-reach students who are not currently accessing their education. Our service caters to a diverse group of students, including:
Anxious school non-attenders
Students on the verge of or recently excluded

Asylum seekers
Students with complex needs requiring a dynamic and responsive approach

A Relationship-Driven Approach
Our tutoring model is built around the individual needs and interests of each student. By fostering trust and understanding, our tutors can identify what motivates and engages each learner. Through positive reinforcement and celebrating small achievements, we aim to build self-esteem and confidence while maintaining a consistent routine for students outside of the traditional school setting.
Why Choose Our Tutors?
Our tutors are qualified teachers with QTS or QTLS, possessing extensive experience and a profound understanding of SEND. Most importantly, they are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people. Over the past six years, our model has proven effective, with 80-90% of our 88 students reintegrating successfully into suitable educational provisions last year. We consistently receive excellent feedback from LEAs, schools, and parents/carers.
Benefits for Tutors
We offer our tutors several benefits to support their work and professional growth, including:
Flexible working hours
Paid Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time
Work-from-home options for those supporting online students
Training opportunities

Multi-Agency Collaboration
The Specialist SEND Group is committed to a multi-agency approach, working closely with LEAs, schools, parents, and foster parents. We frequently contribute to Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings and annual reviews for long-term students.
