Full Job Description

Are you an experienced teacher seeking a change from the classroom environment? Are you passionate about enabling those struggling with their education and engaging in a school setting?

Here at the Specialist SEND Group, we’re supporting multiple students in the Orrell area with their engagement with education and core academic skills. Whether it’s students on the verge of exclusion, anxious school non-attenders or those with complex needs, we have students that meet each tutor’s specialism.

Utilising a bespoke curriculum, our team of tutors create fun and engaging lesson plans around students and their interests. We prioritise building positive relationships and lifting confidence amongst our cohort, ultimately guiding them back into education.

Experience working with SEND/SEMH students will come as an advantage to applicants, but resilience, passion and empathy are a must.

Students have variable hours, but candidates looking for more have the option to be assigned to additional referrals via our Specialist SEND Tutoring service.

Other benefits include:

  • Flexible hours to suit you and the student
  • Paid PPA time
  • Twinkl online resources subscription
  • WFH option for those engaging in online provision
  • Making a difference in the lives of the students you tutor
