We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child with complex needs in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting.
This is a part-time position working 2 hours per day, ideally suited to someone with a passion for inclusive education and a nurturing, child-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child with complex needs during afternoon sessions.
- Support learning, communication, sensory and behavioural development.
- Assist with personal care tasks as required.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals.
- Adapt activities and learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with SEND, ideally in an EYFS setting.
- Comfortable and competent in supporting personal care needs.
- Understanding of individualised support strategies and sensory needs.
- Kind, patient, and adaptable with strong communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in childcare, education or SEND (desirable).
This role will be reviewed weekly with the potential to increase hours depending on the child’s needs and development.

Pay: £12.67-£14.00 per hour
