Are you a passionate PMLD SEND educator looking to reconnect with the heart of why you chose this profession? Do you thrive in environments where every small step forward is celebrated as a milestone, and where creating a nurturing atmosphere is just as important as delivering education? We are seeking a Specialist PMLD SEND Teacher to work one-to-one with a young person (aged 14) with complex PMLD needs, supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of therapists and health professionals. • A quick and confident mover indoors, wheelchair-assisted outside to reduce sensory overload and ensure safety

  • Thrives in safe, familiar environments where she can explore

  • Loves music, movement, and dancing – a truly joyful personality

  • Specialist Nurse

The Role

  • 25 teaching hours per week, plus 3 hours PPA

  • Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 14:00

  • Work closely with the family and therapy team to ensure an integrated, holistic approach

  • Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing atmosphere that values both education and wellbeing

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for working with young people with PMLD and would consider it a privilege to teach and guide this young person.

  • Experience teaching young people with PMLD and complex SEND needs

  • Understands the importance of sensory-based learning and communication strategies (PECS, Makaton, AAC)

  • Can balance structure with flexibility, adapting to the child’s needs each day

  • Brings genuine warmth, patience, and creativity to their practice

  • Is confident working collaboratively with therapists, families, and other professionals

  • Is motivated by creating an environment where joy, learning, and progress come together
