We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated PMLD Teacher to join a new specialist school in Qatar. You will be part of a committed team who share a genuine passion for providing the highest quality education and care for young learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in supporting students with complex needs and a deep understanding of the unique challenges they experience.

Key Requirements

• Holds a valid teaching license (QTS, ATL, or equivalent)

• Kind, patient, and calm disposition

• Significant experience working with students with PMLD, including those with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and complex medical needs

• Skilled in delivering highly individualised, sensory-led learning experiences

• Familiarity with the DfE’s definition of PMLD and an understanding that these learners require high levels of adult support for both education and personal care

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver an adult-led, play-based curriculum tailored to each student’s unique learning profile

• Provide ongoing opportunities for sensory exploration throughout the school day

• Create a rich, engaging classroom environment focused on sensory learning

• Teach using individual, small-group, and whole-class approaches, ensuring every learner’s needs are carefully met

• Collaborate closely with the wider team to support holistic learning and development

• Support communication using gestures, eye-pointing, symbols, and basic language systems such as Makaton, when appropriate

• Provide personal care and support for students with physical and sensory challenges
