Autism Specialist Lead –SEND International – relocation to Doha

SEND International is seeking a skilled and passionate Autism Specialist Lead to join a dynamic Specialist Autistic school in Doha.  This is an exciting role for someone with at least 3+ years of experience, QTS, and leadership expertise in working with young people who are Autistic (ASD) so you can make a difference to the lives of young learners.

We are looking for a leader committed to making a tangible impact on the academic, social, and communication development of students who are Autistic. You’ll work closely with the existing staff team to implement evidence-based practices, support transitions, and design tailored programs that foster an inclusive environment.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with students who are Autistic (ASD)
• Leadership experience within an educational setting
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Expertise in autism interventions such as ABA and data-driven assessments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor staff in delivering best practices for ASD education
• Be a passionate advocate to support all those learners who are Autistic, by raising awareness and setting an example of leadership
• Develop classroom and behavioral programs tailored to individual needs
• Set an example of intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, self-motivation and self-discipline
• Model competence, honesty, personal responsibility and respect for others
• Use formative and summative assessment data to define student learning and determine the need for additional support
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and external partners to support student success
• Plan, develop and provide training to school staff on the use of appropriate interventions and behaviour management techniques
• Coordinate Autism services
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners
