Who You’ll Be Supporting
All learners are supported through an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and present with a variety of additional needs. Common needs include:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Other learning and behavioural challenges
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Functional Skills English lessons (Pre-Entry to Level 2)
- Develop high-quality teaching resources and schemes of work that are creative, inclusive, and differentiated
- Track student progress and adjust plans to support underachieving and high-achieving learners
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO (or equivalent) to implement and review individual learning plans
- Provide consistent marking and constructive feedback to students
- Create a positive learning environment and promote best practices in inclusive education
- Deliver structured youth work and enrichment activities (e.g. nature walks, workshops, group outings)
- Contribute to an engaging student experience that prioritizes wellbeing and success
- Align delivery with quality standards such as Ofsted’s Good and Outstanding criteria
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring and teaching English to students of varying ages and abilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and parents.
- Experience working with children, including those with special educational needs.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized care plans to support student learning.
- A passion for fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging student growth.

Pay: £25,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
