High School Geography Teacher
Relocation – Qatar – August 2026 Start

Role Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and adaptable High School Social Studies Teacher specialising in Geography. You guide students in understanding physical and human geography, global systems, and the relationships between people, place, and environment. Instruction emphasises spatial thinking, data interpretation, and real-world application to support informed global citizenship and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging geography lessons aligned with high school standards, including physical geography, human geography, geopolitics, population studies, sustainability, and global development.
  • Teach students to analyse maps, graphs, GIS data, case studies, and real-world geographic
    issues.
  • Use differentiated strategies to support varied learning needs and levels of readiness.
  • Promote critical thinking, inquiry, and evidence-based discussion around global challenges
    and regional issues.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor learning and provide clear, actionable feedback.
  • Provide targeted support and extension activities for students requiring intervention or enrichment.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom culture where multiple perspectives are respected and explored.
  • Integrate current events and real-world examples to strengthen relevance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, learning support staff, and families to support student progress and well-being.
  • Reflect on instructional practice and adjust approaches to improve student understanding and engagement.

Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification, License, or equivalency with at least 3 years of teaching

experience.

  • Experience teaching high school geography or social studies, preferably in diverse or inclusive settings.
  • Strong ability to differentiate instruction and scaffold complex concepts.
  • Clear communication, strong organisation, and effective classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to helping students develop global awareness, analytical skills, and geographic literacy.
