Middle School Performing Arts Teacher
Relocation – Qatar – August 2026 Start

Role Overview:

We are seeking a creative and student-centred Middle School Performing Arts Teacher to engage students in drama, music, and movement. You support students in building confidence, collaboration skills, and expressive ability through structured performance experiences. Instruction focuses on creativity, technique, and participation while supporting diverse learning needs during early adolescence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging performing arts lessons aligned with middle school curriculum standards, including drama, basic music, movement, and performance skills.
  • Teach foundational skills such as voice, rhythm, movement, improvisation, ensemble work, and stage awareness.
  • Use differentiated instruction to support a wide range of abilities, learning profiles, and confidence levels.
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment where students feel comfortable performing. experimenting, and taking creative risks.
  • Develop students’ collaboration, communication, and self-expression through group and individual performance tasks.
  • Assess student progress through performances, projects, and reflective activities, providing clear feedback.
  • Support students who need additional guidance or extension through targeted strategies and rehearsal support.
  • Organize and support performances, showcases, or school events that highlight student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate performing arts into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide activities.
  • Reflect on practice and adjust instructional approaches to improve student engagement and participation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music, Theatre Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification, license, or equivalency with at least 3 years of teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching middle school performing arts, preferably in inclusive or diverse
    classroom settings.
  • Strong ability to differentiate instruction and scaffold performance skills.
  • Effective classroom management and rehearsal organisation skills.
