About the Role
SEND is seeking an experienced and visionary Subject Coordinator to lead curriculum development and instructional excellence within an inclusive, forward-thinking special needs provision in Doha. This role is ideal for an outstanding educator who is ready to shape programs, support teachers, and ensure educational quality within a collaborative and student-focused environment. If you are aware of EQUALS curriculum for PMLD students, this is an advantage.
Key responsibilities
As Subject Coordinator, you will:
• Lead the development, review, and improvement of curriculum in your subject area
• Guide and support a team of teachers, providing leadership, training, and direction
• Monitor program effectiveness through student performance and teaching quality
• Organise and deliver regular in-house professional development workshops
• Facilitate department meetings and assist with lesson planning and resource creation
• Support the provision through accreditation processes and quality assurance measures
• Liaise regularly with senior leaders, teachers, and support teams to ensure consistent standards
• Maintain up-to-date records on curriculum, assessment, and professional development
• Provide expert input on budgeting related to your subject area
What the school is looking for;
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject field (Master’s preferred)
• At least 6–8 years of full-time teaching experience, preferably within an international or SEND / PMLD setting
• A strong background in curriculum development, assessment, and inclusive teaching practices
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and written communication skills
• A collaborative mindset with a leadership style that nurtures and supports staff
• Proficiency in MS Office; Arabic language skills are a plus
