We are a mixed SEN day school dedicated to providing an integrated therapeutic model for pupils aged 7-19 whose needs cannot be met in mainstream provision. We collaborate closely with local authorities and parents to create a supportive environment that nurtures the social, sensory, and educational development of our students. Our unique approach includes an Enhanced Curriculum delivered across an Extended Day, supported by our in-house therapy team, who develop personalized plans for each child.

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will be committed to providing high-quality education within a supportive and inclusive environment. You will play a key role in delivering our Enhanced Curriculum and contributing to the holistic development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Implement differentiated teaching strategies to support the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Collaborate with the in-house therapy team to integrate therapeutic approaches into the Maths curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and setting targets for improvement.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Enhanced Curriculum and Extended Day activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Math.
  • Experience teaching Math to students with SEN, preferably within a SEND setting.
  • Strong understanding of different SEN needs and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the school community.
