We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant in Warrington. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the diverse needs of students, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and contributing to the overall success of our educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualized Support: Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring their individualized education plans (IEPs) are implemented effectively.
  • Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, assisting in the delivery of lessons and activities that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Behavioral Support: Implement behavior management strategies to support students with challenging behaviors, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assist in the assessment of students’ academic and social progress, working closely with the teaching staff to identify areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the care and education of students with SEND, ensuring a collaborative approach to support.
  • Inclusive Practices: Promote inclusive practices within the school community, advocating for the rights and needs of students with SEND and fostering a culture of diversity and acceptance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, are preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • An understanding of diverse learning needs and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.
