We are a welcoming and inclusive SEND school supporting learners aged 2 to 19 with a range of needs, including ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities). Our dedicated team is committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating, and personalised learning environment where every learner is empowered to achieve their full potential.

The Role – Thursdays and Fridays:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support tailored to individual needs
  • Assist in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Support communication through visual aids, Makaton, PECs, or other strategies
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic
  • Understanding of (or willing to learn about) a wide range of SEND needs
  • Adaptable, proactive, and calm under pressure
  • Committed to promoting independence, dignity, and learning in all pupils
  • Experienced in working with children or young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £82.00-£90.00 per day

Expected hours: 13 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • No weekends

Experience:

  • SEND: 2 years (preferred)
