As a member of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will play a pivotal role in driving school improvement, promoting staff development, and ensuring the well-being of our school community.

Position Overview:
They are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join their Senior Leadership Team as an Inclusion Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inclusion, with a focus on supporting students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). The SLT places a key emphasis on leading school improvement priorities, monitoring staff development, providing pastoral support, and enhancing teaching and learning practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement strategies to promote an inclusive learning environment for all students, with particular attention to those with SEND.
  • Collaborate with the SLT to identify and prioritize school improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in implementing inclusive teaching practices.
  • Monitor staff development initiatives and provide targeted support where necessary.
  • Offer pastoral support to students, families, and staff members as needed.
  • Stay informed about current best practices and policies related to safeguarding and SEND, and ensure compliance within the school community.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school as a member of the SLT.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A proven track record of success in promoting inclusion within an educational setting.
  • Experience in leadership roles, preferably within a school setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, leadership, or inclusion are desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £33,706.36-£41,064.36 per year
